Wind turbine up and running...

A few days of hard work saw the Habitat21 turbine erected on a sturdy structure; the 'guyropes' are stainless steel cables. At the base of the picture you can just see part of the roof of our "sustainable office".

The turbine is running smoothly here in south Leicestershire; a brisk wind sets the rotor spinning silently. There's a bit of strobing on the picture; the rotor shape isn't quite like this!

No figures on efficiency yet; this will be quite tricky to measure.
